If you don't use your daily meditation reminder notification everyday it will turn it off automatically and give you no option to turn it back on. This is very frustrating. Every time this happens I have to wipe data for the app just to get my notifications to start again. I need my daily reminder or I go weeks without meditating. When the notification is working properly I get in at least two three days a week if not more.

Maril Kennedy: Very great. I actually can't imagine anything better than this app. The teachers are amazing, and Dan is a host anyone can relate to, unless you are super New Agey I guess. There is such a breadth to the offerings that just keeps getting better - full courses, singles, podcasts, challenges, sleep, ... I started just for the sleep meditations, now use it all. Meditation / mindfulness has changed my life and I know I wouldn't have gotten there without the app.

Having read the book and trying meditation in the past I like the explanation part before each medication as it gives you something to focus on during the meditation. A Google user: 2yr user. My core (-) is linked to the core (+): the strong variety leaves the app feeling, ironically, unfocused. Fair enough if they don't want to structure the material into a clear "progression", but the course lists provide no option to sort, or to hide courses. It's unwieldy to choose from the nearly random list or figure out what's new. Sleep tab earns the 4th star back; it's stable and without toxic notifications. I use this for variety, w/ Waking Up and unguided as my core practice.

A Google user: I hate the locked content and the pressure to upgrade. There is a free 7 day trial, but the button in the app is broken so I had to tweet them to unlock it. I do suspect the premium content is worth it, but the app is getting progressively less useful until I decide to pull that trigger. Longer than 7 days would sell that content better than taking away my content. Having said all that, the app is very well designed, has great content, and includes a "do not disturb while meditating" feature which I love. I'd prefer an option to skip the video on the "courses."
